Grade 4 Ski/Snowboard Days
The Grade Four classes will be going skiing twice this year. This first trip is January 29, 2018 with
the second one occurring on March 5, 2018.  For both trips we will
leave the school promptly at 8:30 am and arrive back at the school at 4:00 pm. If your
student normally takes the bus home they will need an alternate ride home from the school that day.

Every child is required to take a lesson at their level and will then have the opportunity to free ski the
remainder of the day.  Students require a bagged lunch and proper winter wear (ski pants are a must).
Cost is dependent on the package required by the student (Per date at the hill):

Please note that we need to get information and numbers to Rabbit Hill prior to each trip so
please have permission forms and payment submitted by Wednesday, January 24, 2018.

Musical Ride

We had an awesome presentation from the Lord Strathcona's Mounted Regiment.  I actually took a few pictures, and will be sharing them with you (In random order -ask your student to order them).  The first part of the presentation was a classroom section where a member of the Regiment came into our classroom and spoke to the students.  He then answered questions the students asked.  After that, we went outside to see the trailer the horses travel in while on the road as well as ask a few more questions of the Members at that location.  We ended by watching the Musical Ride.  What an experience!  Please ask your child about his or her thoughts as you are winding down tonight.

Welcome to October! This is a busy month for grade four.  We begin with a parent meeting Tuesday, October 7, 2014 to discuss the upcoming trip to DRUMHELLER.  Your voice is important, so please be sure to come and have input as to how this trip will happen.  Discussion topics will include: chaperones, financing, curricular ties, dates and more. School photos are being taken on October 7, as well.  I f your child is wearing 'fancy' clothes for photos, please send along a set of regular clothes to be worn after photos are taken. Hot lunch and milk programs begin this month - if you did not purchase either yet, you will have to wait until November to begin. Deadline for November orders is October 24. We will soon have our set timetable for the year - I will be sending home a copy of this as well as placing one inside of the agenda - glued inside.
