Happy New Year!

My/Our resolution before Christmas was to get better at writing this blog, and I/we had been doing well; however, I/we fell short of our goal.  We are going to try again... Math - After an awesome two week trial period,we don't have Mathletics anymore! It was a great experience, but we are unable to subscribe at this time.  In our original math books, we started Distributive property and we are having a blast with multiplication.                                                                                                                                                                                                      LA - In LA we started using our knowledge of figurative language to 'pick it out' of stories we are reading.  Some of the types of figurative language that we are looking for are: similes, metaphors, idioms, hyperbole, personification, alliteration and allusion. Science - We ended our third unit Wheels and Levers  this week with a unit final on Tue

Skating Information for Next Week.

The first week of skating is fast approaching and here are some tidbits of information. 1) Share the skating schedule  - it has been finalized and it's always nice if volunteers know when they are to be at the rink.  Skate tying help is strongly encouraged as it helps get your kids onto the ice that much faster.
