The End of April is Near.

WOW! Has April flown past! We have been very busy with core courses, but have also had many feature days.  We recently participated in SUPER CRAZY DAY and many students were as crazy as their outfits!  2 weeks ago, we went to the Edmonton Waste Management Centre.  It was an excellent adventure and the students learned many tidbits of information.  Our guide for the tour was very knowledgeable and friendly.  He was able to answer all of the questions the students asked! We have finished our Building Devices unit in the last while. A lot of the students built creative marble tracks and vehicles.  Thanks to everyone who contributed to the projects with your recyclable boxes, bottles and containers.  We also appreciated the extra tape which was sent to help us build. We have begun our Plant Growth and Change unit.  We will be planting some different things today, including a Venus Flytrap!  The students are quite excited about this unit which is encouraging. Tomorrow we will be going to the Edmonton Waste Management Centre.  This field trip encompasses many curricular outcomes and reinforces past learning which was attained n our Waste and Our World unit.  It is an awesome trip! Our next unit in Science will be PLANTS  and we will be beginning this on Monday. We are honouring the fact that April is poetry month by studying about poems in our LA. We have learned about and written Haiku, Diamante and limericks so far.  We will be writing many more poems, and learning more about rhyming schemes, rhy
